Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Athens, TN is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes. A variety of patient acuities are available, including G-tube, Trach, and Vent, with day or night shifts and 8, 10, or 12 hour options.

The nurse will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, delivering skilled nursing services per orders and documenting patient data. TN licensure, TB/Chest X-ray, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN/LVN in the state of practice (TN).
• Current TB test or Chest X-Ray on file.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide skilled nursing services in accordance with prescribed orders.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient.
• Collect, analyze, and document patient data and nursing diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN/LVN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
