Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Bridgepointe Health Campus, Vincennes, IN, provides direct clinical care and supervises nursing assistants on the unit. Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid LPN license.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Visit residents on assigned unit daily to observe and evaluate each resident's status and notify the charge nurse or physician of changes.
• Identify problems and emergency situations and initiate lifesaving measures when a physician is unavailable.
• Provide holistic care within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assist in monitoring medications, supplies and equipment to ensure adequate on-hand inventory.
• Perform administrative duties such as forms, reports, evaluations, and charting.
• Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals per policy.
