Apple Rehab West Haven is seeking a LPN Charge Nurse on a per diem basis to join a compassionate, family-oriented team in West Haven, CT. The role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising nursing services for residents, with on-site shifts and rotating weekend duties.

Starting pay ranges from $30 to $37 per hour, dependent on licensure and experience. Per diem staff will cover two weekend shifts monthly and participate in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Job Opportunity: LPN Charge Nurse (Per diem)

Starting Pay: Competitive rates ranging from $30-$37 per hour, based on years of licensure/experience

Available Shifts:

• 8am-12pm Half Shifts [16 and 12 hour positions]
• 5pm-9pm Half Shifts [16 and 12 hour positions]

Shift Information:

• Schedule includes every other weekend
• Position requires to be added to the LPN on call rotation

Responsibilities

The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.

Key Duties:

• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
• Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

Requirements:

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.

Additional Expectations:

Compensation details available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.
