Apple Rehab Saybrook is seeking an LPN Charge Nurse to join our caring team in Old Saybrook, CT. You will plan, supervise and deliver nursing services for assigned residents, adhering to quality care standards and physician instructions.

Responsibilities

• The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing nursing services for assigned residents. This includes adhering to quality care standards, facility policies, legal requirements, medical practices, and physician instructions.
• Efficiently plans and provides professional care while aligning with the needs of residents and the changing medical landscape.
• Maintains professionalism in interactions with residents, physicians, families, peers, and support staff.
• Documents crucial information related to resident care accurately and comprehensively.
• Administers prescribed medications and oversees accurate record-keeping in line with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Valid state nursing license in good standing (or in the process of becoming a registered nurse).
• In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Collaborative team player with previous experience in long-term care preferred.
• All LPN positions require weekend on-call availability to support both staff and residents. Compensation details available upon inquiry. Per diem staff are expected to fulfill (2) weekend shifts monthly to meet requirements.

Positions/Shifts:

• Full time (32 hours/ week) 7-3pm
• Part time (24 hours/ week) 7-3pm

• Full time (32 hours/ week) 3-11pm
• Part time (24 hours/ week) 3-11pm
• Full time (32 hours/ week) 11-7am

Differentials Offered:

• Shift Differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Weekend Differential: $1.00 for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
• Additional Shifts Differential: Extra $5.00/hour for any shifts up to 40 hours worked outside scheduled hours

Hourly range: $35.00 -$38.00 / per hour
