Job summary

Aperion Care in Gary, IN seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care and supervise nursing assistants, ensuring high-quality care compliant with regulations. Administer medications, coordinate with physicians, and maintain patient confidentiality in a warm, collaborative environment.

The LPN will plan daily nursing activities, ensure safety protocols, and communicate with residents, families, and staff. Part-time roles available without benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Willing to take additional training or education as states may require.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable with multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions under your active license as it pertains to your duties.
• Provide care based on residents' care plans and physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure nursing services.
• Assist in daily living activities, meals, and social engagement of residents.
• Communicate with clinical leadership when residents' needs change.
• Care for residents with dementia.
• Be willing to take on other duties within your knowledge and experience.
