Job summary

Hendricks Community Hospital Association seeks a licensed practical nurse to join our long-term care team in Hendricks, MN. This PRN position offers weekend and holiday rotation with shift differentials and a starting wage of $27.10 per hour, depending on experience.

You will provide high-quality resident care, assess and plan needs, administer medications, maintain EMR records, and collaborate with medical staff to deliver prompt, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Minnesota.
• Previous experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
• Responsible for assessing, planning and implementing resident needs ensuring quality resident care.
• Provides input and updates on resident care plan ensuring care plan is followed.
• Obtains, administers and monitors effectiveness of medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Communicates with medical staff to ensure prompt quality care and carries out physician orders as directed.
• Strong leadership, initiative, and independent judgment skills required.
• Flexibility to handle changing situations and emergency needs.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Computer experience and proficiency required to maintain EMR.
• Job involves moderate to heavy physical work. Frequent standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting weights in excess of 25 pounds.
