Job summary

The McGuire Group Health Care Facilities is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team in Buffalo, NY. You will provide high-quality care, administer medications and treatments, and support residents' safety and well-being in a team-focused setting.

This role requires an NYS LPN license and CPR certification, with prior geriatric or skilled nursing experience preferred. Shift options include full-time or part-time, with every other weekend included.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in NYS.
• CPR certification required.
• Associate's degree preferred (not required).
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within the LPN scope of practice.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to providers and supervisors.
• Document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration accurately.
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care.
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate during shift changes.
• Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred


• Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required


• Current CPR Certification required


• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred


• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills


• Knowledge of medication administration, infection control, and resident care practices


• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
