Job summary

The McGuire Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its nursing team in Buffalo, NY. You will provide high-quality nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents.

This role offers a competitive rate of $34/hour with full-time or part-time schedules, including every other weekend. Applicants should hold an NY LPN license and CPR certification, with experience in geriatric care preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NY Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within the LPN scope of practice
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers, supervisors, and responsible parties
• Accurately document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate pertinent information during shift changes
• Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned
