Job summary

The McGuire Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join the pool as part of our Float Pool. You will provide nursing care, administer medications, and support residents in diverse settings.

This per-diem role offers a starting pay of $27.54 per hour, opportunity to work with a collaborative team, and comprehensive benefits including PTO, health insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Valid NYS LPN license and CPR certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to resident assessments and care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to the care team.
• Document care, treatments, and medication administration accurately.
• Supervise Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing duties.

The McGuire Group Facilities are looking to add Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to their nursing team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and help ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents. As a TMG Float Pool LPN, you’ll have the opportunity to work with diverse teams, support residents in different settings, and enjoy the stability of a consistent employer while experiencing variety in your day-to-day role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within the LPN scope of practice
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers, supervisors, and responsible parties
• Accurately document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate pertinent information during shift changes
• Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required
• Current CPR Certification required
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medication administration, infection control, and resident care practices
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
