Job summary

Maine Veterans' Homes in Augusta, ME is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time Night Shift Float role. You will cover multiple units, delivering compassionate care to our veterans during 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts, three nights per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include direct nursing care, med administration, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Maine LPN license in good standing.
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing unit assignments.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
• Long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

At Maine Veterans' Homes, our mission is simple: Caring for Those Who Served. We are looking for a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Augusta team as a full-time Night Shift Float Nurse.

This position works three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) each week, providing nursing coverage throughout the home where needed. If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and the opportunity to support multiple units while delivering exceptional resident care, this role is for you.

What You'll Do as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Provide direct nursing care to our veteran residents.
• Float between units based on staffing and resident care needs.

Schedule

• Full-Time (36 hours per week)
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts each week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
