Alden of Huntley is seeking nurses to join our team at Alden Estates and Courts of Huntley. Qualifications

• Must possess current unencumbered RN or LPN license in IL and/or WI.
• CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Interest/knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with customers, family, visitors and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities to work with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise day-to-day nursing activities per standards and policies.
• Supervise nursing assistants to ensure quality care.
• Follow established policies and procedures and dress code.
• Develop written care plans for each customer.
• Participate in care plan conferences and report concerns.
• Make daily rounds and ensure duties are performed and procedures followed.
• Create a warm, respectful, calm department atmosphere.
• Attend continuing education programs and monitor equipment and supplies.
