Job summary

Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Endoscopy and Surgery. This full-time role supports the operating and endoscopy suites, scrubbing for procedures, preparing and maintaining equipment, and assisting the RN and surgeon as needed.

On-call duties require a 30-minute response; schedule includes weekdays with rotation. Applicants must hold an active Ohio license and a current AHA BLS card.

Qualifications

• Active license in the State of Ohio.
• Maintain a current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and assists the RN during surgical and endoscopic procedures, and maintains sterile and non-sterile equipment and supplies.
• Assists in patient care, preparation and positioning for procedures; ensures safety and proper technique.
• Assists surgeon and the surgical team during operative procedures and endoscopy.
• Verifies supplies and equipment readiness; applies sterile technique and patient safety standards.
• Records care using the Nursing Process under RN supervision and adheres to hospital policies.
