Job summary

Acadia Healthcare in Roanoke, VA seeks an LPN/LVN Dispensing Nurse for our Outpatient MAT OTP. You will assess patients, dispense medications, monitor vitals, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Prefer 1 year of nursing experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment, or addiction recovery.
• Training or experience with MAT, medication dispensing, and patient monitoring is preferred.
• Proficient in EMR systems and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and administer medications as ordered by the Medical Director or Program Physician.
• Document medication administration and nursing care in patient records promptly and accurately.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate inventory of medications and ensure DEA compliance.
• Dedicate approximately 90% of work hours to medication administration activities.
