Santa Clara Post Acute in California is hiring a Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to lead orientation, education, and ongoing learning for nursing staff. You will ensure staff are trained to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care and monitor compliance with state, federal, and corporate standards.

The role oversees the infection prevention and control program and provides guidance to staff on nursing practices, terminology, and regulations relevant to long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing degree or LPN/LVN program completion.
• Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state.
• Experience providing direct care to residents (min 2 years).
• Knowledge of adult learning principles or training experience.
• Knowledge of long-term care laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation and ongoing staff education.
• Identify learning needs and deliver training to staff.
• Monitor nursing staff activities to ensure quality of care.
• Direct Infection Prevention and Control program and oversee its activities.
