Alexandria Care Center is seeking a Director of Staff Development (DSD LPN/LVN) to lead orientation, training, and learning initiatives for nursing staff. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality resident care and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

The DSD will oversee staff development, monitor care quality, and direct infection prevention programs. Current LPN/LVN licensure in the state is required, with a nursing degree or approved program completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing direct care to multiple residents.
• Knowledge of adult learning or training in education.
• Current, unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state.
• Nursing practices, procedures, and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation, educational and learning opportunities for staff to perform duties safely and effectively.
• Monitor nursing staff activities to ensure care quality meets state, federal and corporate standards.
• Direct the infection prevention and control program and oversee its activities.
