Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a per diem Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct patient care across inpatient, ambulatory, home health, or hospice settings. You will work under the plan of care, with patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to meet patient needs.

Requires NC LPN licensure and graduation from an accredited program; BLS is also required. Per diem schedule typically 16 hours per week, with day shifts and no weekend or holiday

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited practical nurse education program.
• Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in North Carolina (NC).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains an individualized, goal-oriented plan of care.
• Observes and documents patient responses and reports to the responsible MD or RN.
• Provides a broad range of nursing duties including medication administration and patient teaching.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
