Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Requires two years of previous LPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to development and maintenance of a current, individualized, goal-oriented plan of care and consults with other health professionals to assure needs are met.
• Observes, assesses and reports patient response to treatments and adjusts care priorities accordingly.
• Participates in unit or department enrichment activities and CQI initiatives.
• Provides a broad range of treatments including respiratory care, suctioning, medication administration, monitoring, and teaching.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Provides support and de-escalation to patients and families; helps with coping strategies.
