Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care within the scope of practice. This full-time, onsite role supports physician offices and UNC Health Medical Group, with day shifts and a 40-hour workweek.

You will document care, administer medications, and reinforce patient education while maintaining HIPAA compliance and quality standards. Qualified candidates have completed an accredited practical nursing program and hold an NC LPN license and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited practical nursing program.
• LPN license (NC) and BCLS required.
• Previous physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Assists with exams and procedures, administers medications, reinforces patient education, and other duties as directed by the RN or physician.
• Documents care provided in the patient's medical record.
• Processes orders, returns patient calls, and notifies patients of diagnostic results as directed by the physician.
• Maintains supplies and performs and documents medical equipment safety checks.
• Maintains compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection prevention policies and procedures; participates in unit performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrates good customer service and effective communication with patients, families, and visitors.
