Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time, day shift in a long-term care setting. The LPN will provide professional nursing care under supervision, perform medication administration, and participate in resident education and care planning.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, with an associate degree preferred, and possession of an active LPN license.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience across the life span.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board/ multi-state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision of RN/physician.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medications, behavior, activities, and dietary.
• Counsel residents, family members, and resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
