Job summary

CorrectHealth currently has a full-time day shift opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Gretna, LA. The LPN participates in clinical patient care with the healthcare team and law enforcement in a correctional setting.

Under supervision of RNs and other providers, the LPN will ensure quality care while adhering to nursing standards and state board regulations. Corrections experience is a plus, with competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program.
• Holds and maintains a current LPN license in the state of employment.
• American Heart Association BLS certified.
• Corrections experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical patient care with all members of the healthcare team and law enforcement in the correctional environment.
• Performs duties under the supervision of an RN, HSA, mid-level provider, or physician; under administrative supervision of the HSC.
• Maintains nursing standards and ethics per the State Board of Nursing and accrediting agencies.
