Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to participate in detainees' health care planning and delivery, providing comprehensive nursing care while upholding security requirements.

You will work under an RN to develop care plans and ensure quality patient care in a controlled setting. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, assisting physicians, administering medications, documenting care, and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in the facility's state.
• Two years of direct LPN experience preferred.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and provide appropriate follow-up treatment.

Responsibilities

• Develop nursing care plans under RN direction.
• Conduct physical assessments and record medical history for detainees.
• Assist physicians with sick calls and minor procedures as appropriate.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Document detainee contacts and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
