Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Cherokee County Detention Center in Gaffney, SC. This full-time day-shift position runs 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

A sign-on and retention bonus are available for this role. You will join a collaborative healthcare team delivering quality care in a safe environment and perform assessments, administer medications, monitor patients, and maintain EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in correctional or acute care preferred.
• Ability to work rotating day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and intake screenings.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor patient conditions and document care.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, RNs, and staff.
• Respond to urgent and emergency medical situations.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Provide patient education and promote wellness.
• Help ensure a safe, compassionate healthcare environment.
