Job summary

Southern Health Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Cherokee County Detention Center team in Gaffney, South Carolina. This full-time day shift runs 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM with a rotating schedule including every other weekend.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, document care, and collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, and correctional staff.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in clinical or correctional settings preferred.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and intake screenings
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient conditions and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and correctional staff
• Respond to urgent and emergency medical situations
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records
• Provide patient education and promote wellness
• Help ensure a safe, respectful, and compassionate healthcare environment
