Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks an experienced nurse for the LaPorte County Jail, with a 6 PM–6 AM shift, 3 days per week and alternating weekends. You will deliver comprehensive care, administer medications, and perform 14‑day physicals while coordinating with providers to ensure inmate health and safety.

Valid LPN or RN licensure and CPR certification are required. You must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid LPN or RN licensure.
• CPR certification required and current.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to inmates.
• Administer medications and manage chronic care as needed.
• Respond to sick calls and emergencies with appropriate medical involvement.
• Perform 14‑day physicals and coordinate with providers for care.
• Provide patient education and maintain pharmacology knowledge.
