Job summary

Armor Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting. You will support physicians and nurses, take health histories, perform tests, and help ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements include an active LPN license, CPR certification, and proficiency with EMR systems. Background checks and drug screening are part of the pre-employment process. Armor Health emphasizes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

Current/Active state license as an LPN.
Current CPR certificate.
Proficient with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Provide holistic nursing care to patients in a correctional setting.
Assist health care providers, registered nurses, and allied health professionals with examinations, treatments, special tests, and routine procedures.
Obtain patient health history, laboratory specimens, vital signs and administer TB skin tests.
Conduct lab tests and ensure results are delivered to the correct physician or RN.
Ensure patient is receiving proper care for injury or condition.
Review patient chart; records and reports observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient conditions.
Coordinate patient transfers to medical facilities or outside providers; administer medications; document all contacts using the POMR format.
