Job summary

MEDIKO, a mission-driven provider of correctional healthcare, is hiring an LPN/LVN to deliver direct patient care in a secure setting. You will administer medications, monitor patients, and document care while adhering to facility policies and safety standards.

This role offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus and opportunities to grow professionally within a supportive team dedicated to quality patient care and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Current, valid state licensure to practice as LPN/LVN.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare is preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in correctional settings.
• Active CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments and administering prescribed treatments and medications.
• Conduct initial medical screenings upon facility entry and provide ongoing care.
• Assist with sick calls and respond to health complaints with appropriate care or referrals.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Document patient progress and coordinate with physicians for treatment modifications.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure medications are administered safely and stored properly.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare staff, and correctional personnel to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and staff on health topics and disease prevention.
