Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; holds LPN license.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• IV therapy/management requirements may apply depending on state rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for residents per care plan.
• Perfom testing to evaluate resident status and provide needed care.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, meds, behavior, activity and diet.
• Maintain confidentiality and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
