Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN position in Brainerd, MN. The LPN will provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings, under supervision, and participate in care planning and medication administration.

The role requires an accredited LPN program completion, current LPN license, and ability to work six shifts per month including weekends with additional shift incentives. Eligible for weekend incentives and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an LPN license.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Must maintain required CEUs and competency training within department standards.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required depending on location and scope.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assess residents and contribute to care plans.
• Document resident interactions, outcomes and care provided.
• Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
