Wellspring Lutheran Services in Saginaw, MI, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full- or part-time shifts. You will provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Join an interdisciplinary team to monitor conditions, coordinate with physicians and nursing assistants, and support admissions, care planning, and family communication. This role offers 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and opportunities for ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan LPN license.
• Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain CPR certification.
• Nursing experience in skilled nursing, home health, medical-surgical, critical care, or related settings preferred.
• Strong clinical, assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care supporting residents physically, emotionally, and socially.
• Get to know residents, understand their unique needs, and tailor care to personal preferences and goals.
• Advocate for residents while coordinating with physicians, nursing assistants, therapists and other team members.
• Monitor changes in condition, communicate concerns, implement physician orders, ensure timely interventions.
• Guide and support nursing assistants during shifts and foster teamwork.
• Contribute to admissions, discharges, care planning, and ongoing assessments.
• Provide comfort to residents when needed and support families through decisions.
