Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine's Medical Oncology clinic is seeking an LPN - Clinic Medicating to join a world-class academic healthcare team. The role partners with the clinical team to provide patients the highest quality of care under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The LPN will provide nursing care, prepare patients for procedures, maintain records, and participate in patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current IL LPN License.
• Graduate from a State-Approved course of study.
• Successful completion of a pharmacology course.
• Active BLS Certification.
• Experience working in a community health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Arrange/prepare patients and families for procedures.
• Participate in activities as determined by supervisor.
• Identify and communicate patient/family problems to the health care team.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain patient care standards.
• Act as a resource person for nursing staff.
• Maintain patient information/records per hospital policies.
