Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN nursing program.
• Current licensure by the SC Board of Nursing at the LPN level.
• One year of clinical experience in a patient care environment, oncology preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
• Some knowledge of computer systems.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data entry of patients' lab, x-rays and ancillary orders as directed by physicians or nurse practitioner.
• Review charts prior to appointments to ensure documentation is complete.
• Triage patient concerns via telephone.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for physician visits.
• Schedule ancillary services as needed; review router at check-out for accuracy.
• Phone in prescriptions and assist with injections as directed by clinicians.
