Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Oncology clinic on days, full-time, in Illinois. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care, coordinate with the care team, and educate patients and families in an outpatient oncology setting.

Requires a BSN, current Illinois RN license, and Basic Life Support certification. ADN with plan to complete BSN within three years is acceptable. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Illinois RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Outpatient Oncology nursing experience preferred but not stated.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytic skills required.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and documentation per unit standards.
• Coordinate patient care with the health care team and communicate changes in condition.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for oncology outpatients.
• Educate patients and families and support discharge planning as appropriate.
