• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants
• Perform necessary nursing duties
• Perform administrative duties such as charting and completing medical forms and reports
• Receive physicians’ orders
• Order medications, supplies, and equipment as needed
• Prepare and administer medications as necessary
• Notify charge nurse of all drug and narcotic discrepancies
• Ensure the accuracy of narcotics records for shift
• Inform charge nurse of staffing needs
• Responsible for comprehensive nursing care
