Benchmark Senior Living in Shelton, CT is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver compassionate nursing care in a warm, home-like environment. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays is valued.

You will assess and document residents' status, supervise assistants, coordinate care with the care team, and respond to emergencies while upholding state regulations and quality standards. Join a supportive team committed to resident well-being.

Formación

• Current LPN license and CPR certification.
• Graduate of an approved LPN program (per state requirements).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience with the elderly in a paid or volunteer role is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents’ status.
• Observes and reports changes in resident health to the care team per state regulations.
• Directs and supervises daily work assignments of Resident Care Assistants.
• Mentors and guides Lead Resident Care Assistants in their duties.
• Coordinates care needs with community providers via case management.
• Balances service demands with supporting resident independence.
• Prevents elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation and reports per state regulations.
• Responds to emergencies and uses personal emergency response systems as needed.
