Job summary

Traditionsatnorthwillow is seeking a capable supervisor to coordinate patient care on a nursing unit and lead a team of caregivers. You will prepare and distribute shift assignments, ensure that care plans are followed, and monitor quality of care and documentation across all shifts.

The role requires strong leadership, staff training skills, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements to protect resident rights and maintain high standards of service.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising nursing staff and aides.
• Familiar with developing and following care plans.
• Ability to coach, teach, and evaluate staff performance.
• Knowledge of federal/state regulations governing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care by developing and distributing written nursing assignments for each unit.
• Describe care plan goals and ensure consistent implementation across shifts.
• Monitor delivery of care and documentation to meet regulatory standards and resident rights.
• Make daily rounds to observe residents and adjust staffing based on needs.
• Orientate, train and develop staff; keep them informed of new trends and procedures.
• Provide coaching and discipline when needed, in line with laws and policies.
