Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 36-hour work week in Assisted Living/Memory Care. The role includes direct resident care, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, with supervision of nursing assistants.

Current Ohio LPN licensure is required; prior experience in assisted living or long-term care is preferred. The position offers benefits including health coverage and retirement options, with flexible shifts including

• Current Ohio LPN licensure
• Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care or long-term care
• Good physical and mental health
• Dexterity to perform injections, IVs, etc.
• Able to lift, push and pull 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently during the day
• Follow all Infection Control practices
• Must be able to work every other weekend/holiday for full time positions
• Must have reliable transportation

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Charge Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)) works independently to provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; supervises and directs care provided by nursing assistants; participates in continued professional development; performs other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Ohio LPN licensure

Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care setting or a long-term care setting
