Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position in Charlotte, NC. The role supports Allergy/Immunology services at the Rea Farms location, performing patient prep, nursing procedures, and medication administration within the department's scope.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with exams and surgeries, conducting basic lab work, and ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical records while maintaining patient safety and comfort

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows OS, and use of electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams and allergy testing.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including immunizations and IV therapy within scope.
• Provides patient education and coordinates referrals and follow-up appointments.
