Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the 02010 GCMG Allergy Asthma & Immunology team at Rea Farms in Charlotte, NC. This full-time position supports exam rooms, vitals, specimen collection, immunizations and patient education under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a state LPN license and BLS within 45 days, completes a practical nursing program, and demonstrates strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assists physician with procedures and surgeries.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including immunizations and antibiotics.
• Initiates and manages IV therapy within scope of practice.
• Provides patient education on tasks, treatment and self-care.
• Coordinates with nursing staff and physicians to ensure timely care.
• Documents patient status and communicates changes to the care team.
