Job summary

Allergy Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Illinois practice. You will provide nursing care for patients under physician supervision, perform vital signs, spirometry, injections, and education, while ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR and adherence to allergy practice policies.

As a key member of the clinical team, you will coordinate care with physicians, manage supplies, and support front-office duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting.
• Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices.
• Understanding of medical record documentation standards.
• Understanding of medical coding based on the medical record notes to ensure accurate billing.
• Experience communicating and interacting with physicians.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms; prepares patients for exam or treatment; takes vital signs.
• Provides assistance to physicians when requested.
• Performs spirometry and other breathing tests as ordered.
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization.
• Completes appropriate documentation in patient’s medical record to reflect services.
• Facilitates prescriptions and administers allergy injections as ordered.
• Monitors patient status for adverse reactions following injections.
• Cross-trains on front office activities as needed.
