Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Current CPR certification and PCC preferred.
• Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility.
• Ensure all nursing personnel comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Review and revise department policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions as needed.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with assigned nursing staff and support personnel.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure compliance with its procedures.
• Cooperate with other resident services to ensure residents receive total care.
• Discharge planning coordination and documentation updates as required.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary.
