New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Brooklyn to join our multidisciplinary team. You will update electronic records, manage physician inboxes, and assist in front-office duties while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, education on medications and home care, basic lab tasks, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and assisting physicians during exams. Requires NYS LPN license and BLS, with healthcare teamwork at the core.

Formación

• Current NYS LPN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities with patients and staff.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
• Reliable transportation to any NYH location for patient care needs.

Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts M- F

In This Role, You Will

• Update and maintain all electronic patient records and assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format
• Manage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks assigned via ONCO EMR
• Work in the front office taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facility
• Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed
• Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history before each appointment
• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
• Escort patients to exam rooms
• Record patient interview, history, and chief complaint
• Provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests
• Assist physician with exams
• Prepare and administer Injections
• Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens
• Perform basic lab tests
• Perform EKGs
• Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error

We Require

• Current NYS LPN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
• Experience with EMR’s
• Reliable transportation to any of NYH location for patient care needs
