Job summary

New York Health (NYH) in Brooklyn is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. The role focuses on patient records, front desk support, and routine examinations under physician supervision.

You will manage the ONCO EMR system, assist with injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals, and patient education. This full-time on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a path to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current NYS LPN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (ONCO EMR) preferred.
• Reliable transportation to NYH locations.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain electronic patient records.
• Assist in transitioning hard copy records to digital format.
• Manage Physician inbox and prioritize tasks via ONCO EMR.
• Front office tasks: answer calls and greet patients.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and orders.
• Record vitals, weight, and history before appointments.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with exams.
• Provide patient education on medications and diets.
• Prepare and administer injections; phlebotomy and lab samples.
• Perform basic lab tests and EKGs.
• Administer medications under physician orders, ensuring safety.
