Job summary

Dayton Gastroenterology is seeking a full-time LPN to join our Beavercreek clinic. Enjoy a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualified candidates will have LPN licensure, BLS certification, and prior Medical Assistant/LPN experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN license required.
• Previous experience working as an LPN required.
• Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.

Responsibilities

• Measure vital signs and document in patient charts.
• Assist physicians during visits and emergencies.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions and notify test results.
• Schedule office visits, procedures, tests, x-rays, and admissions.

We're currently seeking a full-time LPN to join our clinic at 75 Sylvania Drive, Beavercreek, OH. Qualified candidates will have previous Medical Assistant experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and a current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

Snapshot of Daily Duties

• Measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient’s chart.
• Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
• Obtain, verify, and record health history of patients.
• Assist the physician with office visits. Must be able to assist physician in an emergency.
• Manage patient prescriptions as directed by physician.
• Manage referrals as directed by physician.
• Answer patient questions. Notify patients of test results
• Assist with scheduling office visits, procedures, laboratory tests, x-rays, outpatient testing, hospital admissions and appointments as necessary.

The Must Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN license required.
• Previous experience working as an LPN required.
• Previous experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
• BLS certified required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology required.
