Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. seeks an Underwriter for Lender Placed Insurance (LPI) to support underwriting execution, risk evaluation, pricing analysis, and portfolio monitoring for LPI products.

You'll report to the VP of Underwriting and collaborate with the AWLS team and cross-functional partners. The role requires knowledge of Mortgage Hazard, Auto CPI, VSI/Blanket, and Flood products, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and Excel.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in LPI, mortgage lender-placed insurance, or related lines.
• Ability to evaluate risk, analyze financial information, and make sound underwriting recommendations.
• Stay informed on industry trends and update risk appetite as directed.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate risk selection, pricing, and program structure within authority and guidelines.
• Develop and document underwriting guidelines, pricing assumptions, and portfolio initiatives with AWLS management.
• Analyze portfolio performance, loss trends, audits, and KPIs; identify issues and propose corrective actions.
• Refer large or complex, sensitive accounts to senior underwriting leadership with clear next steps.
• Support relationships with clients, agents, and third-party administrators with timely underwriting analysis.
