Job summary

Keyera is seeking an Entry Level Facility Shift Operator/Rail Loader for our St. Clair, Michigan facility. This role handles LPG storage, transfer, loading and unloading, and inventory management with oversight from an experienced operations team.

The position operates on a 12-hour rotating 5-on/5-off schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Candidates should be prepared for field work and on-call duties in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must reside within 30 miles of the St. Clair, Michigan facility.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating 5-on/5-off schedule
• Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience in gas processing, propane fractionation, NGL facilities, terminal operations, pipeline operations would be an asset.
• Experience with P&IDs, piping schematics, process drawings, or other technical documentation would be an asset.
• Troubleshooting, maintenance, equipment calibration, or measurement experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LPG storage, transfer, injection, withdrawal, loading, and unloading systems.
• Monitor plant performance through inspections, rounds, and tests to ensure product spec compliance.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and safely return to service using Lockout/Tagout and permits.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on pumps, valves, meters, gauges, and other equipment.
• Complete monthly meter calibrations and support related maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate logs, permits, environmental reporting, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in Process Safety Management activities per OSHA and drive continuous improvement.
• Support plant turnarounds, maintenance activities, and site work plans.
• Coordinate truck driver orientations and contractor onboarding with safety training.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide overtime as needed.
