Job summary

Keyera in St. Clair, Michigan is hiring for an entry-level Facility Shift Operator/Rail Loader to safely manage LPG storage, transfer, loading and unloading.

You will work a 12-hour rotating schedule with days, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations as part of an experienced operations team. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, maintaining equipment, performing calibrations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Reside within 30 miles of the St. Clair facility.
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Experience with gas processing or related industrial environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with P&IDs or process drawings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate LPG storage, transfer, injection, withdrawal, loading, and unloading systems.
• Monitor plant performance and ensure products meet specs; report concerns.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and return to service with required permits and PPE.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration on pumps, valves, meters, and gauges.
• Complete monthly meter calibrations and support related maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation for operations, maintenance, and compliance.
• Participate in Process Safety Management activities and site continuous improvement.
• Support turnarounds, planning, procedures, and work plans.
• Coordinate truck driver orientations and contractor onboarding; provide site safety training.
• Join on-call rotation and overtime as required.

## Operations TechnicianApply: St. Clair, Michigan: Full time: Posted Today: JR2851## **Keyera Career Opportunity**## Job Type:Permanent**THE POSITION** Keyera is currently seeking a **Facility Shift Operator/Rail Loader (Entry Level)** position for our **St. Clair, Michigan facility**. This role is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an LPG Storage, transfer, loading, unloading and inventory management facility. This includes the operation of underground LPG storage caverns, railcar loading and unloading activities, truck loading facilities, brine handling systems, and associated pipeline infrastructure. Whether you are an experienced operator or looking to further develop your career in plant operations, this position offers the opportunity to build your skills while working alongside an experienced operations team in a dynamic environment. This position follows a **12-hour rotating 5-on/5-off schedule**, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and participation in an on-call rotation. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Safely operate LPG storage, transfer, injection, withdrawal, loading, and unloading systems.* Monitor plant performance through routine facility inspections, operating rounds, and quality control testing to ensure products meet specification prior to receipt and shipment while identifying and communicating operating concerns.* Prepare equipment for maintenance and safely return equipment to service using approved Lockout/Tagout, Safe Work Permit, Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Entry, Personal Protective Equipment, and environmental procedures.* Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration activities on pumps, valves, meters, gauges, transmitters, flow computers, and other process equipment.* Complete monthly meter calibrations and support maintenance activities related to facility measurement and operating equipment.* Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, environmental, and regulatory documentation, including operating records, plant logs, meter calibrations, permits, environmental reporting, flaring reports, and other required compliance documentation.* Participate in Process Safety Management activities in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, including HAZOP reviews, internal audits, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.* Support plant turnarounds, maintenance activities, project planning, work scope development, operating procedures, and site-specific work plans.* Coordinate truck driver orientations, contractor onboarding, and site safety training in alignment with company policies, procedures, and safe work practices.* Participate in the facility on-call rotation and provide overtime support as operational requirements dictate.**QUALIFICATIONS** * High school diploma or equivalent.* Must reside within 30 miles of the St. Clair, Michigan facility.* Ability to work a 12-hour rotating 5-on/5-off schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call requirements.* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.* Experience in gas processing, propane fractionation, NGL facilities, terminal operations, pipeline operations, or a related industrial environment would be considered an asset.* Experience with P&IDs, piping schematics, process drawings, or other technical documentation would be considered an asset.* Troubleshooting, maintenance, equipment calibration, or measurement experience would be considered an asset.## Posting Expiry Date:Oct 12, 2026**At Keyera, we embrace collaboration, inclusion, and a workplace that is as diverse as the communities we serve.
