Job summary

Hyliion is seeking a Senior Manager, Additive Fleet in Austin to oversee the laser powder bed fusion printer fleet producing KARNO core hardware. You will lead technicians, own maintenance strategy, monitor machine health, and drive upgrades across Colibrium Additive platforms.

The role blends hands-on leadership with data-driven decisions, aiming to reduce variation and scale print capacity while enabling next-gen LPBF systems. Expect regular floor presence and strategic expansion planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
5+ years hands-on LPBF additive manufacturing in production.
Experience leading a team or as a lead technical contributor.
Experience with Colibrium Additive (formerly GE Additive) machines preferred.

Responsibilities

Own fleet uptime and drive continuous improvement in machine-to-machine consistency.
Build and maintain a preventive maintenance program across all machines.
Lead, schedule, and develop the team of technicians and operators.
Develop machine health monitoring from data and sensors to predict failures.
Evaluate and upgrade hardware/software as new capabilities become available.
Plan fleet expansion, layout, staffing, and readiness for new machines.
Create repeatable processes across machine models to maximize uptime.
Learn new machine technology and build institutional knowledge.
