Job summary

Washington County is seeking a reliable Maintenance Crewman to support daily maintenance and event operations at Legacy Park. This role handles building and grounds upkeep, operates equipment, prepares facilities for events, and helps ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.

The position is full-time with benefits and pays $22.15 per hour. Responsibilities include setting up arenas for rodeos and events, maintaining safety, and assisting with emergency response during events.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience operating medium or heavy equipment and performing maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, painting, or related work.
  • Experience with recreation or event facility maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Perform building, grounds, landscaping, and general facility maintenance.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment, including tractors, loaders, forklifts, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Assist with sprinkler systems, landscaping, weed control, and ground care.
  • Prepare and groom arenas for a variety of events, including rodeos, races, shows, and other large events.
  • Set up stalls and facilities for animals and event participants.
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Set up and maintain event sound systems and equipment.
  • Assist patrons and event renters and respond to facility concerns.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and secure buildings, restrooms, and event areas.
  • Respond to emergency, medical, and security situations during events.

Washington County is seeking a reliable, hands‑on Maintenance Crewman to support the daily maintenance and event operations at Legacy Park. This position performs building and grounds maintenance, operates equipment, prepares facilities for events, and helps ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patrons and event participants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform building, grounds, landscaping, and general facility maintenance.
