Job summary

Keystone Cooperative is seeking an outside propane sales professional to carry out deliveries and sales to residential, commercial, and farm accounts. The role includes field service, tank installations, and customer support.

Qualifications include a valid CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, strong communication, and safety-conscious driving. HS diploma required and prior outside sales is a plus; physical tasks may require lifting up to 75 lbs and climbing stairs.

Qualifications

• Valid driving record and ability to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner
• During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries
• Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls)
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
• Operate truck in accordance with established safety procedures
• Perform installation, removal and service as needed
• Provide back up to Energy department as needed

Position Overview

The key responsibilities of this position are outside sales of propane gas to residential, commercial and farm accounts from initial contact through to delivery, which may include tank setting and service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to

• Deliver propane to customer locations in an efficient, punctual and safe manner
• During daily interaction with customers, provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires
• Build customer base within sales territory by utilizing various sales techniques, including prospecting (cold calls)
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures
• Operate truck in accordance to established safety procedures
• Perform installation, removal and service as needed
• Provide back up to Energy department as needed

Skills and Qualifications

• Acceptable driving record and able to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Proficient computer skills
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and ability to prioritize

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Outside sales experience and territory knowledge is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk 1 to 5 miles, climb steps/ ladders and lift up to 75lbs
• Bending and climbing in and out of the truck
