Job summary

McGehee School’s Lower School Aftercare program offers a safe, engaging environment for girls after the regular school day, with activities led by our Aftercare team. You will supervise outdoor and indoor spaces, helping ensure every student feels safe, included, and valued during afternoon hours.

Ideal candidates bring genuine interest in working with children, flexibility to adapt to daily needs, and prior experience in school or camp settings. CPR training is preferred.

• Experience with children in school, camp, or recreational settings preferred.
• Patience, encouragement, and care for each child's growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise free play across playgrounds, fields, and indoor spaces.
• Support students in navigating minor conflicts using the Toolbox system.
• Assist Aftercare Specialists with crafts, games, and structured activities.
• Welcome students warmly, modeling kindness and respect.
• Support daily program flow including transitions, clean-up, and snack time.
